I'm performing in the upcoming show at The Secret Theatre this weekend - "Poe: An Imaginary Waltz." I'll be doing an original one-act, as well as a one-woman performance of Poe's "The Black Cat." Tickets can be found at www.secrettheatre.com and performances are Thursday - Saturday, October 27-29 and Monday, October 31. Hope to see you there!
My ZogSports team entered a fun tournament last weekend for a bit of practice and just to have a good time! We ended up in second place, guess we'll have to come back next year to try to gain the title!
As I've been cast as Ariel in "The Tempest," I've been taking classes to learn aerial silks to incorporate in the show! Classes are going well, but boy are my arms sore! Can't wait to learn more tricks!
Recorded the tutorial for Job and Career Accelerator this week - an application to help with your job search!
Made it to 2 Broadway shows this week - "Present Laughter" with Victor Garber, and "Mary Poppins." After Mary Poppins, we had the opportunity to go onstage and meet Ms. Poppins herself - a priceless experience!
Traveled to Vermont last weekend to spend some time in the snow! I am most definitely not an expert skier (this was my 3rd time), but I managed to stay upright most of the time! Over the weekend, we also celebrated Kelly's birthday and took in some history on a tour of Mark Twain's house.
I was fortunate enough to travel on a Carnival cruise to St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay this month! One of my favorite experiences as parasailing over St. Thomas, and I also enjoyed lying on the beaches and riding horseback through the Puerto Rico rainforest! Had a blast with my old Simpson friends hanging out by the pool, playing mini-golf and eating gourmet dinners every night!!
Check out this Vook "Love, Love, Love: Shakespeare in the City" in which I perform Shakespeare's Sonnet 147!
"Romeo and Juliet" at The Secret Theatre had a great opening this weekend - performances are selling out and the audiences have been engaged and appreciative! Each day the cast discovers new things and brings fresh energy that is inspiring. It has been a great experience playing Friar Laurence...what a unique opportunity for me which has truly given me a new appreciation for this play and for Shakespeare's wonderful language! Hope the rest of the run goes as well as this first week!
Playing Helena in The Secret Theatre's "Midsummer Night's Dream" was a true pleasure. The entire cast was such a joy to work with, and the production team was so dedicated and talented I was thankful every day to be a part of this fantastic production. Reviewers were complimentary which was wonderful, but the greatest compliments came from the audiences laughter and enjoyment each evening. I will so miss doing this show and hope to work with this amazing group again!
